It is autumn—a season that always invites me to pause, to let go, and to reflect on what truly matters. As the leaves change color and the air fills with that familiar, almost comforting autumn scent, something sometimes happens—small or big—that arrives at exactly the right moment.
A few days ago, that moment came to us.
A neighbor gifted us something incredibly generous and unexpected: €800 worth of firewood. A whole stack of warmth—both literal and symbolic. It was one of those moments that makes you stop for a second and realize how special it is to be surrounded by people who give from the heart, without expecting anything in return.
This gesture touched us deeply, especially now that the days are getting colder and we find ourselves in a period of change. Autumn, more than ever, feels like a season in which I am allowed to reshape myself—to make choices that bring me closer to my own dreams and desires.
And this firewood… it felt like a gentle push forward. A quiet reminder that when you let go, warmth finds its way back to you.
As I stood there, looking at the wood, I could feel gratitude spreading through my whole being. And almost naturally, it led me to a decision that immediately felt right: we are going to give away 10% of this firewood.
Because warmth is meant to flow. And who are we to keep such a beautiful gesture to ourselves?
We don’t yet know exactly to whom, or when. But that will reveal itself. Nature teaches me every day that everything has its own timing. Sometimes you stumble upon red berry branches during a walk. Sometimes a beautiful autumn wreath comes together within an hour. And sometimes, a neighbor appears at your door with a gift you never expected.
What I do know is this: in a world that can sometimes feel cold, these are the moments that fill your heart again.
Thank you, dear neighbor—for the warmth, for the kindness, for the piece of humanity you shared with us.
And to you, reading this: I hope this story reminds you that moments of unexpected warmth can find their way into your life too. And that when the time is right, you can pass them on.
