A Heartwarming Donation of Terracotta Pots

Sometimes something happens that reminds you just how many people are thinking along with us, caring with us, and growing with us. Last week, we experienced one of those moments.

While we were preparing for new planting projects, we were surprised by a visit from a local businessman. He often walks past our garden and always takes a moment to look inside with a friendly smile.

This time, he didn’t just stop by to wave.

He arrived with a car full of terracotta pots. Truly a lot of all sizes, in the most beautiful warm shades of orange.

He shared that he had been following our garden for quite some time and was impressed by what we have built together with volunteers and neighbours. He wanted to give something back. His words touched us deeply: “You are making the neighbourhood more beautiful. This is my way of contributing to that.” Moments like these make you pause.

The pots fit perfectly with the natural character of our garden. The larger ones are ideal for bigger plants, while the smaller ones are perfect for young plants that are still growing. We’ll take our time to explore how we will use them, guided by what the garden and its visitors need.

We would like to sincerely thank this generous donor, who wishes to remain anonymous, for his beautiful contribution. His spontaneous gesture shows how a single moment can inspire and strengthen an entire community.

This encounter reminded me once again how powerful it is when someone consciously chooses to do something good for another. In a time where the world can sometimes feel increasingly focused on the individual, this man reminded me of the value of giving not only through material things, but through attention, time, and kindness.

His gesture has inspired me to continue doing the same. Perhaps his action will inspire you too. To pass something on in your own way. It doesn’t have to be big.

Because it is often the small acts that make our world a little softer, and a little more beautiful.
