Some places are simply destinations. Others become part of who you are. Suriname flows through my veins. It is my father’s birthplace—a country I have visited often and where I spent part of my childhood. Without a doubt, it forms the backdrop of my earliest memories.

Last year, we took a leap of faith. We began renovating our family home, guided by a vision that reaches far beyond bricks and walls. A place of rest. A place for healing. A wellness escape for vulnerable individuals and their caregivers. The road ahead is long, but nothing truly meaningful is built overnight. So here we are, building it step by step.

With passion, hard work, and the generosity of people who believe in this vision, we are moving forward. We are creating honest job opportunities for the local community and making sustainable, lasting improvements to the home.

We would deeply appreciate your support—because this is not just another project. We are changing lives.

This year, we are taking on several new challenges:

• Improving the rooftop terrace

• Transforming the garden into a green oasis

• Installing air conditioning
