In search for the right greenhouses/cold frames

Now that we knew we would eventually be moving to a much larger house, and that this house came with a fairly large garden, I realized that my childhood dream was going to come true. Namely, living a more natural, village-like lifestyle.

About two years ago, I had already started sowing, caring for, and harvesting some vegetables, fruits, and herbs. Now I could expand this lifestyle even further.

In our new home, we will eventually be investing in one or more greenhouses/cold frames. That is why we have already started visiting showrooms. I didn’t expect the choices to be so diverse, but that really is the case.

We therefore decided to have all the greenhouses and cold frames that we liked and found practical digitally placed around the property, so that we could visualize what they would look like around the house.

We definitely prefer the glass versions. Of course, we will use safety glass, so that no one gets hurt should the glass break.

We have also decided that at least one of the greenhouses will be placed against a wall. The house and garden offer plenty of possibilities for this.

Since we are going to completely redesign the garden, placing a greenhouse will only happen in a few years. When the time comes, you will of course be the first to know.

See you again in the next blog story.
