Lifechats Gets a Physical Space

As I write this, I notice how naturally my thoughts return to the very beginning of project Lifechats. I can still see those first conversations—the moments when someone dared to share for the first time, when something they had been carrying for a while finally began to feel a little lighter.

It all started with people. Teenagers, young adults, and adults who felt stuck in certain areas of their lives. People who wanted help, but weren’t ready—or willing—to take the step into formal care. They were looking for something accessible. Something human. A place where you’re simply allowed to exist, without judgment. That is how Lifechats was born: a safe online space built through chat conversations, emails, and voice messages.

Over the years, 20 people committed themselves to this journey. Twenty stories, twenty personal paths, and twenty times the trust to walk alongside each other—each in their own way, at their own pace.

My intention was clear from the start: to be there for them. To listen, reflect, support, and create space. What I didn’t yet realize back then, was how much these online encounters would also change me from within.

Every conversation felt different. Sometimes I could sense tension between the lines, as if someone was carefully circling around something unspoken. Sometimes I heard it in a voice message—a softer breath, a moment of realization or relief. And sometimes, in an email, I read exactly what someone wasn’t yet able to say out loud.

Lifechats has taught me to listen with more than just my ears. It has made me softer, deeper, more connected.

And now, after all these conversations and exchanges, we’re seeing more clearly what people reflect back to us. The online format feels safe, accessible, and warm. But once a genuine bond of trust is formed, many begin to feel the desire to meet in person.

To share the same space. The same silence. The same energy.

That is why I’m so grateful to share that, within our community home, we are creating a physical Lifechats space.

A place where people who first connected with us online can now also step inside in real life. A space that breathes calm, carries warmth, and truly embodies what Lifechats has always stood for.

I am deeply grateful to everyone who has been part of this journey. For the trust, the openness, and the moments we’ve shared. With this next step, it feels like something beautiful is beginning to move again—and I’m genuinely curious to see where this development will take all of us.
