Activities and services at Communityhome Homeostasis
At Communityhome Homeostasis, everything revolves around connection, care, and growth. We offer a wide range of activities and services where children, young people, (young) adults, and seniors with mental health challenges, their caregivers, and volunteers can connect, receive support, and develop.
The Green Garden: our community garden
Our community garden is a place to learn, connect, and unwind. With a vegetable garden, herb and vegetable garden, and a fruit and nut orchard, volunteers learn practical skills and discover the joy and value of working together in nature. In the workspace, we conduct educational and practical projects and offer daytime activities and community internships. This creates a place where volunteers can learn, grow, and relax. We give 50% of the garden's proceeds back to the community, for example, through shared meals or food parcels, and the remainder is used to maintain the garden.
Creative space
In our creative space, everyone can have fun. Whether it's painting, crafting, digital projects, or making music, it's a place to discover talent, build confidence, and have fun together.
Workshops and seasonal activities
Throughout the year, we organize culinary, creative, educational, and wellness workshops. We also create seasonal packages, such as Christmas, fall, and Easter packages, which we share with the community. This way, we ensure that everyone feels seen and included.
Lifechats: therapy and coaching
In our therapy and coaching space, we offer professional guidance to children, adolescents, (young) adults, and seniors with mental health challenges, as well as their caregivers and volunteers. Both individually and in groups, we work on personal growth, resilience, and coping with challenges.
Neighborhood and network activities
We organize activities that connect people, such as Neighbors' Day, summer events, and parent/volunteer barbecues. It's wonderful to see how generations and networks come together and strengthen each other.
Healthcare facilities
In addition to activities and daytime activities, we offer support through the family home and room training center (KTC) and other care facilities. Professional guidance is central to all areas for children, adolescents, (young) adults, and seniors with mental health issues, their caregivers, and volunteers, ensuring everyone receives the care and support they need.
Volunteers and community internships
Volunteers and young people doing community internships are essential to our community. They receive guidance, development opportunities, and a small monthly stipend as a token of appreciation. Together, we make Communityhome Homeostasis a place where everyone feels at home and cared for.
