Target Group Lifechats

The group that most frequently uses our Lifechats sessions consists of (young) adult women between the ages of 22 and 35.

Of course, we do not turn away anyone outside this age group—anyone seeking support is welcome.

They are mainly (young) adults who appreciate this accessible way of receiving help. Many of them don’t know where to go with their “smaller” problems, are looking for guidance or advice from a non-judgmental outsider, or are dealing with mild mental health challenges or life-related struggles.

Some (young) adults also mention that they find it helpful that there is no direct face-to-face contact. This reduces the pressure to give the “right” answer and instead allows them to reflect more deeply on the underlying issue behind their problem.

In addition, this group includes (young) adults from diverse cultural backgrounds, living throughout the Netherlands. It also includes individuals with busy (social) lives, as well as those who may feel more isolated.

Lastly, some users are (young) adults who have family members or friends who have previously used our services.
